CLEVELAND — It used to have a less than stellar reputation, but Edgewater Park is on a comeback. It’s been a year since the Metroparks took over Edgewater and other lakefront properties.
The Cleveland Metroparks took over Edgewater, Villa Angela, Wildwood and Euclid Beach from ODNR.
Visitors say they see a big difference already.
Edgewater Beach is cleaned several times a day, while it used to be a couple times a month. Crews are trimming trees and keeping up with trash.
Safety was also a big issue for residents and now there are many more patrols by rangers and bike patrols so families feel more comfortable.
