BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Police and fire officials tell WKYC that a home under construction at 17595 Chagrin River Road caught fire Friday morning.

Fire officials tell WKYC that a passerby noticed the smoke about 5:45 a.m. and called 911.

The assistant fire chief tells WKYC’s Tiffany Tarpley that the two, small explosions happened while they were fighting the fire. One explosion was from a container that flew out of the home like a rocket, officials said.

No one was working at the home at the time.

The official said the other explosion was an electrical transformer.

No one was injured and officials are continuing to investigate.

Stay with WKYC for further updates.

Chagrin River Road was closed in the area until at least noon.
