After graduating from High School in June 2007, I went to Cleveland State University where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Digital Media/Communications.

I currently work for WKYC-TV in Cleveland as a multimedia journalist.

On my own time, I also work on web design, photography, audio engineering technique, and audio/video production.

Detailed Version

My family may be one of the most tight-knit families in the world! We are always doing something together, whether it be going out to eat or just sitting around the kitchen table at home. We often laugh about things, from what’s on TV to something that happened during the day, even people we see doing things (everybody does it).

My parents are supportive of everything I do. It’s good to know that no matter what path I follow or what decisions I make, that I’ll always have at least two supporters behind me. I also have have a brother that will jump on board with just about any idea that comes to my head. No matter what one family member decides to do, we always stick together.

There’s also another family member who is no longer with us anymore, but who’s spirit will be with us forever. The person I’m talking about is my sister, Traci. She was a very special person who taught my family and others many things. She kept her mind on God and always had a message for people — good or bad. She was known to speak her mind, which is something I do everyday too. I could go on for hours but I may start to cry, which she wouldn’t approve of. Let’s just say, if you knew her you were blessed, and if you didn’t, then you missed out.

My sister-in-law has officially been a part of the family since 2008. She’s very cool to have around. She fits right in with the family and is the perfect match for my brother (which is obvious since they tied the knot).

I can’t forget my Grandfather who always has a good laugh or a good story for you. You never know if it’s a true story, but I can guarantee it’s going to be funny.

Then there’s my wife. I have known and been in a relationship with her since middle school, March 5, 2003 to be exact. She probably knows me better than anybody else, especially since we spend most of the day together. We married in June of 2014.

A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, she works in the medical field, following in the footsteps of her mother. She plans to continue her education to become a midwife. Personally, I love medicine and anything else that does good for the human race, but I really don’t like hearing the medical stories that she tells me about her day at the hospital. So if you like that kind of stuff, then she’s the person for you to talk to.

Together, we are the proud parents of our daughter, born in May 2011.

I have been involved with the church for many years and was baptized at  a young age at Lee-Seville Baptist Church. It was there that I joined my first church ministry, the music ministry, playing the drums for some church services, and mainly the children’s choir.

My family later joined another church, Mt Zion of Oakwood Village, where I joined the media ministry as a camera person. It was here that I was first exposed to audio/video production equipment.

In my teen years, I went on a hiatus from my home church to join the music ministry, yet again, playing the drums at St. John A.M.E., the first black established church in Cleveland, OH. I was the primary drummer there for the next four years before returning to my home church.

When I returned to my home church, I was honored to take the position of Media Manager at Mt. Zion of Oakwood Village, where I help to oversee many aspects of the church’s media production and the handling of church equipment.

Throughout high school, I was mainly known for my accomplishments in Marketing class (The DECA program). It was here that I thought I had found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. In my first year at Ohio DECA’s state competition, I placed 1st in the area of Technical Sales. My second year in the program didn’t yield the 1st place prize again, but I was elected to be a state officer. I was the Northeast Vice President of Ohio DECA.

Throughout my life and through high school, I was also very interested in music. I received many awards for “Outstanding Music Student” at Maple Heights High School. This led me to believe that music may be a field I wanted to pursue as well.

After high school, I went on to attend Cleveland State University, where I entered as an Accounting Major. I quickly found that accounting was not the career path I wanted to follow. Instead of following the money (pun intended), I changed my major to something that I love to do, Digital Media/Communications.

Digital Media combines audio and video work, mainly for use in the broadcasting industry. On my own, I’ve taken the time to learn web design basics. Photography and audio engineering also fit well with my degree.

Ok, that’s enough… 

I find myself to be a pretty successful person to be 26 years old. In my eyes, I think the sky is the limit for my future. With all of the talent and knowledge I have acquired over the years, I know I can do anything but fail! Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty more for me to learn. So I’ll Keep learning as I go!
