Story written by John Anderson

WESTLAKE — There’s a woman in Westlake who started a business banking on the rain.

Ann Gedeon was laid off from her job as a paramedic, so she started a business called “rain barrels n’ more”.

She even rented out an old gas station and her business is geared at helping save the planet.

She has sold 300 rain barrels in just the last year and says by collecting rain water to use in your gardens and landscaping, it can save you money on your water bill.

And the customers keep coming.

The rain barrels cost between 125 and 350 dollars. But Ann says many customers can save that on their water bills in just one summer.
