Here are a few tips that can help you get the best user experience from the WKYC news app:

Part 1: How to navigate the homepage
The homepage is the first thing you will see every time you open the app. You will see headlines of stories as your scroll up and down the page. You’ll see the menu in the top, left-hand corner.

Part 2: Viewing an Article
Once you click on a headline, it will take you to the story. Tap on the video to play it or continue to scroll down for the text.

Part 3: Search for stories in your area
This section of the app organizes our stories by a certain county or area. You can find it on the menu. If you keep scrolling down, you can find the weather, school closings and delays and traffic.

Part 4: Tips to navigate weather and traffic
It’s the best way to know road conditions and any reported accidents before you head out the door. You can get your forecast by entering your zip code once you’re in the weather section. It’s located at the top of the header.

Part 5: How to set up/modify news alerts
News happens 24/7, so we want to keep you updated throughout your day. You can also modify a certain time when you don’t want to receive alerts. It’s located in ‘Settings’ at the bottom of the main menu. Select ‘Manage Notifications.’
