CLEVELAND — When the Republicans came to evaluate Cleveland as a candidate city to host their 2016 convention, they were impressed with a lot of what we had. But when they saw the renderings and the construction site along the flats east bank, it may have just sealed the deal.

Phase One was the hotel, the Ernst & Young office tower and the handful of restaurants just off the riverfront. Phase Two, which will open June 2015, includes 242 apartments, 12 restaurants and 1200-feet of boardwalk along the Cuyahoga River.

If you swing down to get a look at it today, you will see already four of the eight stories of apartments have already been laid out in concrete.
