CLEVELAND — With a new season, comes new renovations. The Cleveland Browns won’t just have new colors, they’ll also have new amenities inside FirstEnergy Stadium.
The team just put $125 million into stadium renovations to make the fan experience better.
“I’m excited, I’m anxious to see it. I’m anxious to experience it,” said Browns season ticket holder Melissa Kovick. “I thought the atmosphere was great last year, I definitely enjoyed the scoreboard, so I’m anxious to see the changes this year.”
Those changes include more places to eat, more space to move around and better signage around the stadium.
“We said, ‘How do we make the stadium better and give it a soul that makes it feels like it’s from Cleveland?’ ” said Browns VP of Fan Experience Kevin Griffin.
The team also added some premium lounge areas, but those are not for everyone. For the season, it’s $4,500 a ticket for the Draft Room, which replaces Browns Town. Those tickets are still available.
The Cleveland Club costs $5,950 and is already sold out for the season. So is Club 46, which is $6,250.
It’s not just the Browns making changes to FirstEnergy Stadium, the Indians are also making changes to Progressive Field. By next season, you’ll see more concessions, more food options, a new club, new signage and more team history incorporated throughout the stadium.
“Making a little bit more variety than your hot dog and peanuts is something I’m looking forward to,” said Indians season ticket holder Fred Powell.
“Go Cleveland, it’s all great,” said Kovick. “The restaurants inside, I’m anxious to check them out tomorrow.”
The Browns also plan to use technology to their advantage. There will be more than 900 TVs around the stadium to keep fans connected. The Browns also plan to ramp up the Wi-Fi in the stadium, but that won’t happen until later this season.
